Rooted in Tradition.
Driven by Passion.
It all started with a question:
“Do you have faith in me?”
That was the moment Alfredo, better known as El Loco—looked at his wife, Alex, and shared the dream he’d been carrying in his heart. She didn’t hesitate.
That simple “yes” sparked something bigger than either of them could’ve imagined.

Alex had spent years in the restaurant world, learning how to connect with people the moment they walked through the door.
Her gift? Making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and part of the family. Alfredo, with over a decade of experience in kitchens and a lifelong love of bold, flavorful food, was ready to break free from the grind and build something real. Something theirs.
They didn’t set out to be just another Mexican spot.
They wanted to create something that truly honored their roots—something authentic. Inspired by the real flavors of the streets of Mexico, not the overly Americanized versions many people have come to expect. This meant going back to the basics: handmade recipes, bold spices, and food that feels like home.
That’s how Locos Kitchen
was born.
Fresh. Modern. Authentic Mexican cuisine.
No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just real food from the heart—served fast, flavorful, and with style.
From the menu to the logo to the last sprinkle of queso fresco, every detail was intentional.
Because when you care this much, everything matters. Alex and Alfredo didn’t just build a brand—they built an experience. One that honors their culture while embracing a modern twist that’s just as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious.
And it wasn’t easy. Raising two kids while building a business from scratch takes guts, hustle, and an unshakable bond.
But nearly two years later, Locos Kitchen has become a beloved staple in Sandpoint, Idaho. Whether they’re parked for weekday lunch or catering a wedding, birthday, or celebration of life, they show up with soul—and food that speaks for itself.
This isn’t your average taco truck.
This is straight-from-the-streets-of-Mexico real.
This is food that tells a story. That honors where they came from and where they’re going.
This is Locos Kitchen.
